Guitar and Ukulele Tuition

Welcome to the Teaching page of Graham Corbould offering expert Guitar and Ukulele tuition.

Graham is a specialist guitar tutor of some 18 years experience with a busy teaching practice in Bexleyheath as well as working in a number of the Bexley Schools. In 2009 Graham was the Guitar Tutor of the year for the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT).

Guitar and Ukulele lessons are open to all ages, all abilities and in all styles, albeit acoustic, electric, rock, bass. Graham is happy to work with beginners or players with some experience who want to improve or add new skills.

The approach taken is to give you the building blocks to develop as a player rather than just learn songs or pieces by rote.

Graham also offers, but does not mandate, the London College of Music/RGT grading schemes and exams on Guitar, Ukulele and Music Theory.

So if you want to play for fun or to study

I was excited to hear Graham was extending his successful teaching practice into a school dedicated to Guitar and Ukulele education. I have known Graham for 15 years and during that time, I have seen the success he has had with students by the hundreds of successful exam candidates he has put through the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT) syllabus, from complete beginners to Grade 8. I was further please to hear that many of his courses will follow the RGT syllabus enabling students to take grade exams and gain formally-recognised qualifications. RGT has, for the passed 23 years, been dedicated to the development guitar education. During this time, qualifications in electric, bass, rock and acoustic guitar, and more recently the ukulele, have been introduced. All graded qualifications are Ofqual-accredited, which means they are recognised within the educational framework and higher grades carry UCAS points to aid entry into further education. I realise not all guitar and ukulele playing is about qualifications and I know Graham will introduce fun into learning what is a rewarding hobby for many. I would like to wish Graham and his students, future and current, the best of luck in their undertakings.

I would also like to commend Graham Corbould, Guitar peripatetic, who clearly demonstrated a wonderful relationship with the students - they clearly respect his expertise and value his support and assistance, gaining great confidence from his manner with them.
